- December 2011 CSSi is planning on going to Malawi, in central Africa in February 2012. We will work on the Malawi Water Project using the biosand filter developed at the University of Calgary and through the Center for Affordable Water and Sanitation Technology. Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world, where the lack of clean water causes sickness and death to many children and adults. We will be helping them create their own business and manufacturing facitites biosand filters in 3 areas of the country. For more informaton please go to:
- July 15, 2011 CSSi has purchased a smoke machine to tackle odour issues. The exact source of odour issues can sometimes be very difficult to find. However, we have used smoke to successfully find some of the toughest odour sources. Kelly thinks it's also fun to make all the leaks smoke!
- July 2011 : Canadian Sewage Solutions Inc. is donating its services and the VIHA Filing fee to Woodwyn Farms. CSSi is conducting the site assessment and designing a new onsite sewage system for Woodwyn Farms. This is a worthwhile community project that well enable homeless people in the Victoria area to get a fresh start in a safe environment while working on the farm.
- April 2010 HAITI, Kelly Karr an engineer with CSSi recently returned from Haiti, were he volunteered as an engineer to help. After the devasting earthquake and the immediate medical issue were tackled the next huge problems revolve around a lack of clean water.Kelly worked on several assessments of water systems.

Thousands of families are living in homemade tents
- CSSi is initiating research on "Effluent Distribution in Infiltrator Chambers". This reseach is focusing on how even the distribution is under infiltrator chambers under a variety of conditions. The Unversity of Calgary is expected to help by providing CSSi with some of their raw data.
- March / April 2010 - CSSi is designing a large system for an RV park near Campbell River. This system would be under the Municipal Sewage System Regulations
